School Physicals

School physicals, also known as school health examinations or school medical check-ups, are routine medical exams that are conducted on students in schools to assess their overall health and well-being. These exams are typically conducted annually or biannually, and are usually conducted by a school nurse or a physician.
The purpose of school physicals is to identify any health issues that may impact a student's ability to learn or participate in school activities. This can include identifying vision or hearing problems, assessing the student's overall physical health, and monitoring the student's growth and development.
During a school physical, the healthcare provider will typically conduct a physical exam that includes checking the student's height, weight, blood pressure, and heart rate. They may also perform a vision and hearing test, as well as check for signs of scoliosis or other physical abnormalities.
In addition to the physical exam, the healthcare provider may also ask the student about their medical history, any medications they are currently taking, and any allergies they may have.
Overall, school physicals are an important tool for ensuring that students are healthy and ready to learn. By identifying and addressing health issues early on, school physicals can help students stay healthy and succeed academically.
