Child & Adolescent Checkups

Child and adolescent checkups are an essential aspect of maintaining the health and well-being of children and young adults. These routine visits to a healthcare provider are typically scheduled at specific intervals, starting from infancy and continuing through adolescence.
During these checkups, healthcare providers will evaluate the child's growth and development, conduct physical exams, and administer recommended vaccinations. They will also discuss any health concerns or questions that the child or their caregivers may have.
The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends the following schedule for child and adolescent checkups:
- Newborn visit (3-5 days after birth)
- 1 month
- 2 month
- 4 month
- 6 month
- 9 month
- 12 month
- 15 month
- 18 month
- 2 years
- 2.5 years
- 3 years
- 4 years
- 5 years
- 6-8 years (annual checkups)
- 9-11 years (annual checkups)
- 12-21 years (annual checkups)
It is important to schedule and attend these checkups to ensure that children and young adults receive appropriate medical care and support throughout their development.
